Dorchester Drama Quiz Evening

Last Wednesday, our Chairman ran a quiz for us. A superb evening of random questions and quizzical things.

We also took the opportunity to invite Julias’ House along to present them with a cheque for money raised during ‘A Moment with Dickens’.

Team 5ers took the first prize, donating their winnings back into DD funds and the chocolates to the next committee meeting.

This is it. Performance week once again.

After a great dress rehearsal on Sunday, we just have a couple of rehearsals to polish up with. Techies are a little scared as, with the ‘get in’ on the same day as the first performance, there is very little time for a proper tech rehearsal. But it’s all fine and they have a plan.

Tickets are available from the Tourist Information office, via Telephone, or the link at the top of the page. Please come and support. Director Dee has done a marvellous job of, not just linking these three pieces together, but also writing a couple of them.

Dickens Children

Another excellent Dorchester Drama Dickens rehearsal. Just 5 more to go before performance. The Kenwigs enjoy Morleena’s dance at the family anniversary celebration .

A few pics of costumes. Only a month to go until curtain up. Keep an eye out for news of tickets soon.

Dickens Children

Rehearsals for Dickens Children are going well. Techy things are being organised in the background and planning ahead for whats going to be a ‘get in’ needing military precision and timing.

Who knows what’s going on here. Hopefully a scene from the play. It’s fair to say it looks very dramatic and, after all, that’s the name of the game.

Dickens Children

If you didn’t get a chance to read or audition for DD’s next play, Dickens Children, there will be another chance this coming Wednesday 12th December at Sunninghill Community Hall. Even if you don’t want a part, but prefer to help out behind the scenes, this is a good chance to pop along and meet the director Dee.

Rehearsals start on the Monday 7th Jan 7:30pm at Acland Court, Wednesdays at Sunninghill.
