Dorchester Drama were delighted to be asked to produce a play from, and based on the birth of, the play’s local author Vince Jones set in the 1940s and 1990s.

“Not For Keeps” tells the story of Mary who is forced to deal with an agonising choice. 
Whilst her husband is away in Borneo during the Second World War, Mary is drawn to a handsome American soldier. The temporary fling leaves Mary pregnant. Facing being shunned
from society and rejected by her husband will she keep the child?
